ooc: Sorry I’ve been gone for so long. I am studying abroad in England this semester and have been busy packing and getting ready for that. I’ll be flying over there on the 5th and it may take me a few days to get settled, but I will get on as much as I can. I really like this RP and want to continue, as Ella, Sophia and Albus.

Albus Potter was torn. He loved Christmas and being with all of his family again, but Christmas Break meant he would be leaving Hogwarts for almost half a month. And that meant not being able to see Scorpius for almost half a month. He’d been able to handle the separation all the years before because he seriously thought that their was no way Scor would return his feelings and being away from him for a while let him relax a little. But now that they were together he wasn’t sure he wanted to leave. With a sigh he plopped down on his bed, spread across it horizontally. “What to do…”

“What to do about what?” Scorpius chirped happily as he flopped down next to Al. The holiday season always put him in a pleasant mood and he was happier than usual this year. It was the one time of year that no one had to worry about him going off to brood. 

“Christmas. I am just not sure what going home is going to be like this year. James has been almost invisible this whole year so far and it is getting to the point where I’d prefer it that way,” Albus sighed. “He’s just change a lot. Plus we won’t be able to see each other that much if at all. I’m not sure I’ll be able to keep from going crazy if I can’t talk or be with you whenever I want.”

Scor almost frowned, his good mood taking a minor blow at the points Al was making. “I suppose you have a point…” he muttered. “We could always just stay here? I mean, I’ve gone home every year since first, but my parents can live without for one year… If you wanted to stay that is.” He added the last bit quickly so Al wouldn’t possibly feel like he had no say in the decision.

“I think Grandma Molly might have a heart attack if I don’t show up to Christmas dinner,” Albus said, thinking out loud. “But, I could probably persuade my parents to let me come back early. If I tell them I need to study more. I could get Aunt Hermione to back me up. Once she hears that I’d rather study then lay about like some lazy person I’m sure she’d Apparate me back to Hogsmead herself.” Al turned to Scorpuis, “Would your parents be cool with that?” Al asked. He figured it was the best way to split their time and make both themselves and their families happy. He could probably last a week at home before he completley lost it. 

Scorpius thought about it for a moment. “I could probably talk them into it, yeah,” he said after a moment of consideration. “Shouldn’t be too hard. And if I roped Nina in with me, I’m sure they’d be fine with the idea. I don’t think it’d be too hard to get her to agree. Giant castle library all to herself. It’d be like she was in heaven or something.”

“She’ll probably bring it up before you have a chance to,” Albus said with a laugh. He’d never really gotten to know Nina that well, her being in Ravenclaw and all, but he was sure she’d have no argument. “Sounds like the perfect way to spend the vacation if you ask me.”
